 Drew Collins

DREW COLLINS (b. 1975) is Director of Choral Activities at Central Connecticut State University. Previously, he served on the faculties of Wright State University and Augustana College, conducted the University of Cincinnati Men's Chorus, and taught in the public schools. Dr. Collins holds degrees from Concordia College, Boston University, and Cincinnati Conservatory. He was one of a select few composers interviewed for the book ‘Conducting Women's Choirs’. He has served as editorial consultant to three publishing companies, has served as an octavo reviewer for Choral Journal, served for seven years as repertoire forum editor of Choral Director magazine, and contributed to volume III of Teaching Music Through Performance in Choir. He recently served on the editorial review panel for the National Collegiate Choral Organization's choral series. Collins is in demand as a festival conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. He has presented at conventions at the state and national levels. He currently serves as College & University Repertoire & Standards Chair for the Connecticut chapter of American Choral Directors Association. He has conducted All State choirs, toured domestically and internationally, and headlined in Carnegie Hall. collins@ccsu.edu
