Jacob Thomas
Jacob Thomas (b. 2005) is a composer, actor, playwright, and aspiring educator who hails from the cornfields of Central Illinois. Studying music education and composition at Bradley University, he has created music for chamber ensembles, choir, band, orchestra, digital projects, and musical theater. Notable works include 14 original Minecraft music discs featured in the mod Discs Where Discs Shouldn’t Be, a woodwind quartet about rats eating toast, and his musical A Shot Rang Out! His works have been performed by local ensembles, college choirs, and the YouTube duo TwoSet Violin, with one piece receiving an Honorable Mention in the 2023 ILMEA Composition Contest. It is his deepest hope that his music will inspire someone the way many other composers have inspired him. He believes music is the voice that speaks the loudest!
