 Ricardo Soto

Ricardo Soto, D.M.A., is on the music faculty of California State University, Fullerton where he directs the Men's Chorus and teaches a course on the music of Mexico. In 1999 he directed the university's production of the Mozart's Magic Flute in seven sold out performances.

Ricardo Soto enjoys many opportunities to work as a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator for honor choirs and master classes throughout the California. In 2000 he made his debut at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in a production of Menotti's opera, Amahl and the Night Visitors in three sold-out performances.

Dr. Soto has conducted at the Oregon Bach Festival, studying with the eminent Bach scholar, Helmut Rilling. He received his doctorate in Conducting from the University of Southern California in 1993, graduating magnum cum laude and receiving the Department Award for Excellence. Master's and bachelor's degrees were received from California State University, Fullerton.
